Located in the north coast of Portugal, <b>AMP<\/b>, the institution responsible for\u00a0the Metropolitan Area of Porto, embraces a geographical area, which is currently composed by <strong>17<\/strong> contiguous <strong>municipalities<\/strong>, with a local population of approximately 1.700.000 inhabitants. The <strong>17 municipalities<\/strong>, which compose the Metropolitan Area of Porto, present <strong>unique<\/strong> and identity <strong>characteristics<\/strong>, that grant a great <strong>cultural diversity<\/strong> to the metropolitan territory. That identity\/diversity is reflected in the <strong>range of offers<\/strong> concerning <strong>culinary<\/strong>, <strong>sports<\/strong>, <strong>nature<\/strong> and <strong>cultural programs<\/strong>, which offer unique experiences to visitors and citizens.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In <strong>AMP<\/strong>\u00a0they use the <strong>Geographic Information System<\/strong> (GIS), developed by TRIEDE TI and installed in <strong>IPBRICK Operating System<\/strong>, that <strong>integrates<\/strong> with the <strong>Document and Process Management<\/strong> solution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>integration<\/strong> between <strong>GIS<\/strong> and <strong>iPortalDoc<\/strong> allows to <strong>store<\/strong> all the <strong>geographical information<\/strong>, produced in the <b>AMP<\/b>, on the <strong>Document Management<\/strong> and to <strong>access<\/strong> it through the <strong>Geographic Information System<\/strong> interface, or even through iPortalDoc.
